At our company, we’ve always believed that innovation should serve a bigger purpose. We are proud to be a part of a movement that empowers individuals through cutting-edge technology, and recently, we had the incredible opportunity to showcase our products on one of the biggest tech stages in the world—at Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) re:Invent in Las Vegas.
Our journey to AWS re:Invent was not just about presenting a product. It was about sharing our vision of a more accessible future. This year, we were honored to be featured in AWS’s keynote, where our groundbreaking AI-powered smart glasses were shown to an audience of over 50,000 people. To be part of the conversation about how tech can break barriers and create new opportunities for the blind and visually impaired community is a true privilege. Our video, created in collaboration with AWS, was proudly displayed throughout the event, even at the entrance to the main keynote hall—an achievement we will always cherish.
We were also thrilled to meet incredible individuals at the event, like René, a blind Swiss journalist who joined us at AWS re:Invent. René’s passion for technology and its ability to transform lives is exactly why we do what we do. Although we didn’t have enough time to test all the incredible features of our .lumen Glasses during our brief meeting, we knew one thing for certain: the future is brighter for the visually impaired with these innovations. We can’t wait to send René a pair of glasses to experience the full potential of what we’ve created.
Our .lumen Glasses are a prime example of how assistive technology can revolutionise everyday life. As highlighted in articles from outlets like SmartCompany and Blockleaders, our glasses are designed to act as a guide—empowering users to navigate the world with greater independence. Whether it's through AI-enhanced navigation or offering real-time information about their environment, our glasses replicate the experience of having a guide dog without the need for one. We’re on the cutting edge of a new era of accessibility, where technology not only supports users but actively enhances their experiences.
And the recognition doesn’t stop there. From Global News to Toronto Sun, our work is being celebrated by media outlets around the world. Our glasses are not just a product; they represent a leap forward in making the world a more inclusive place. As noted by many journalists, including those at CarledwinMichel and PressReader, we’re building a future where accessibility isn’t just an afterthought—it’s embedded in the very fabric of innovation.
Our journey wouldn’t be possible without the support of our community and partners. Huge thanks to AWS for inviting us to re:Invent and providing a platform to showcase our impact. Their commitment to deep tech and AI has helped us grow, and we look forward to even stronger collaborations.
This success reflects the dedication of our team and everyone who believes in our mission. Together, we’re building technology that empowers and creates equal opportunities.
Thank you to all who’ve been part of this journey—this is just the beginning!
