.lumen at CES 2025: Innovation, Recognition, and Unforgettable Moments

CES 2025 was an incredible experience for .lumen, marking another milestone in our journey to empower the visually impaired. From testing with hundreds of people to winning a US Army innovation award, our presence at the world’s biggest tech event proved once again that accessibility and deep tech go hand in hand.

Breakthrough Moments at CES 2025

This year, we proudly represented Romania and the EU at two booths—one in the European Pavilion and another at the Romanian Pavilion. CES is more than just a tech showcase; it’s where connections shape the future.

One of our biggest achievements? Winning the US Army's $10,000 pitching competition—the first time a Romanian company has done so! This recognition highlights the real-world impact and versatility of our technology. Even Jean-David Malo, Director of the European Innovation Council (EIC), celebrated our win with us.

Meeting the Best in Tech and Innovation

Beyond the awards, we had the privilege of connecting with industry leaders:

  • Nvidia Startups: We met with Las Kapas to discuss the future of AI-powered assistive technology.

  • IEEE President: An inspiring conversation about the role of deep tech in accessibility.

  • Prince Constantijn van Oranje-Nassau: Continuing our annual tradition of discussing how .lumen can support the Dutch visually impaired community.

The Global Spotlight: CBS, CNN, and Social Media

Our innovation reached global audiences with a live demo on CNN and a feature on CBS News. The now-iconic photos with the CBS giraffe captured the excitement of the event.

Meanwhile, influential voices in the visually impaired community, like Gena Harper (Blind Women of Action), tested our glasses and shared their experiences on TikTok and Instagram. Their positive feedback is a testament to the impact of .lumen technology. Check out her videos about us:

A Future Powered by Accessibility

CES 2025 was more than an event—it was a validation of our mission. From press coverage to hands-on testing with individuals worldwide, .lumen continues to break barriers.

A huge thank you to the European Innovation Council, ARIES-TM, and everyone who visited us. This is just the beginning—stay tuned for what’s next!
