We're stoked to work with the Toyota Mobility Foundation to make .lumen a reality on the Japanese streets. Driving accessibility and lighting the way to a brighter future - that's what this win is all about!

We are proud to announce our selection in the Mobility for All competition, organised by the Toyota Mobility Foundation. This competition aims to develop innovative solutions to support a more accessible society. With this partnership, we are embarking on an exciting journey to create amazing things in Japan. We're already on our way!

Over the coming days, we will conduct 100+ km of real-life tests across various areas in Japan, marking the first step towards entering the Japanese market. This is not just a test run; it is a preparation to empower tens of thousands of visually impaired individuals in Japan.

Thank you, Toyota Mobility Foundation, thank you Japan!

Highlights:

  • Real-world Testing: We will be testing our glasses extensively across diverse environments, including the bustling streets of Tokyo and scenic areas around Mount Fuji.

  • Community Engagement: Engaging with local communities to get firsthand feedback from users.

  • Collaboration: Working closely with Toyota Mobility Foundation to refine our technology and ensure it meets the highest standards of accessibility and usability.

A Journey Towards Accessibility

The Toyota Mobility Foundation's support is pivotal in helping us bring our vision to life in Japan. Their commitment to mobility and accessibility aligns perfectly with our mission to empower the visually impaired. This collaboration is a significant milestone for .lumen, and we are excited about the opportunities it presents.

Looking Ahead

This is just the beginning. As we continue our 2024 World Tour, we aim to bring our innovative assistive technology to more countries, helping to create a world where mobility is inclusive for all.
